Skirts

For me, there are skirts, and also petticoats. Here are all the skirt shaped garments that don't cross over into my historical wardrobe (or, they do, but only if no one can see them).

Long black skirt, 2007-ish
Super long, super full, made with tiers in different fabrics. The bottom-most tier was denim, because it hit the ground a fair bit. There was a hem on it originally, but at some point I just gave up and cut it off.
This was my main petticoat for most of high school, because it was long and full, and black. I thought I wanted to be a goth, maybe because that was the only alt-fashion that I was familiar with at all.
White knee length skirt, 2008ish
Heyy it's those tiers again! Also, this is one of those skirts that I just close with a safety pin, because who needs closures? Actually I think there may have been a malfunctioning zipper on this at one time.

Slim tan skirt, 2008ish
This is one of very few skirts from this period that I still wear. It's got a single button closure in the back. It has a very slim line, which I wasn't into back in the day but now that I've branched out, this skirt is a good petticoat for narrow dresses
Little Bitty black, beige, and white skirts, 2007ish
They're two tiers each, with the second semi-flouncy. I find these too short for my personal preference nowadays, but they're really quite generic and cute.

Small black accidental skirt, 2012ish
I think its just a scrap of fabric pleated to a waistband. I'm honestly not sure what I was thinking here.
Stretch skirts, 2012-13
These were part of a swimwear experiment. Suffice to say, light drapey jersey is not a good swimwear material, especially not in low-rider skirt form.
