Skirts
Long black skirt, 2007-ish
Super long, super full, made with tiers in different fabrics. The bottom-most tier was denim, because it hit the ground a fair bit. There was a hem on it originally, but at some point I just gave up and cut it off. This was my main petticoat for most of high school, because it was long and full, and black. I thought I wanted to be a goth, maybe because that was the only alt-fashion that I was familiar with at all. |
White knee length skirt, 2008ish ---> Heyy it's those tiers again! Also, this is one of those skirts that I just close with a safety pin, because who needs closures? Actually I think there may have been a malfunctioning zipper on this at one time. <--- Slim tan skirt, 2008ish This is one of very few skirts from this period that I still wear. It's got a single button closure in the back. It has a very slim line, which I wasn't into back in the day but now that I've branched out, this skirt is a good petticoat for narrow dresses |
<--- Small black accidental skirt, 2012ish
I think its just a scrap of fabric pleated to a waistband. I'm honestly not sure what I was thinking here. Stretch skirts, 2012-13 ---> These were part of an ill-fated swimwear experiment. Suffice to say, light drapey jersey is not a good swimwear material, especially not in low-rider skirt form. |
