Jumpsuits and Rompers

I had a jumpsuit phase in about 2011.

Blue jumpsuit, 2011
I think this was my first jumpsuit. Very simple and flattering, and in a fabric that held up very well.
The Purple Jumpsuit, 2011
This one is my absolute favorite. The neckline is just right, the sleeves and legs are flattering, the color is just wow, the fabric is so fluttery and soft and drapey. I think ideally I'll style it with a belt now - in most old pictures I have it unbelted like this, which is a cool look but not as curvy as I often aim for these days. I found this thing the other day and thought, you know, I should wear this again! the neck is big enough to juuuust get it over my hips, so there's a little mending to be done on the center of the V. Gosh, I forgot how much I like this thing.

<-- Pink technically-not-a-romper, 2011
It is in fact not a romper, but a shirt and matching shorts-ish garment. With lots of holes cut in it. This was I think a fine example of a design experiment. As I recall, I even did a little sketch before constructing these. It's not badly done, it's just very odd.

Open chest stretch romper, 2011 -->
Why do I do the open chest thing? That was a design phase I did for, like, summer of 2011.

Hooded Jumpsuit, 2012
Which, for some reason, I never photographed from the front. It was constructed in quarters, and only that one front quarter was green. And that other non-visible half of the hood is turquoise. Also there's a little applique motif on the back, and a hood... yeah, there's a lot going on here. I do think it's well designed, or, well thoroughly designed, and definitely well executed.
