Germania Wig

The wig for Germania gets used for other characters, so the braids at the front of the hairline are not sprayed or sewn in. Plus the wig has bangs, so those are braided into the top of the braids to make them disappear. The right hand braid is a half french braid, so it travels back along the head. Plus theres a pin on there somewhere. Ideally I should have a lace-front wig for this character, but I don't cosplay him very often, so it's not a big deal.
Although I am very satisfied with my "look" as Germania - my height and features are very well suited to him - I don't particularly like to cosplay him. He should be very gruff and stern, and manly, and I have difficulty with all of those.

Germania Summer Version, 2012

White short-sleeved tunic, pale green linen pants that end around midcalf, brown leather belt. Partly this was an unfinished version of the costume, but it also would be unreasonable to wear the wool cloak which belongs to the full costume during the summer.

Germania Full Version, 2013

I enjoyed how often I was stopped for pictures at con when wearing this costume, although I know for a fact that 80% of people thought I was Legolas. I'm ok with that, since I think Legolas would be proud to wear such a regal outfit... From this I learned that a more complicated outfit gets more attention at a con, especially if people think they recognize you from somewhere..
